Indonesia stocks higher at close of trade; IDX Composite Index up 1.02%

At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index rose 1.02% to hit a new 6-months high.

The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Smartfren Telecom Tbk (JK:FREN), which rose 33.33% or 47 points to trade at 188 at the close. Meanwhile, Rig Tenders Tbk (JK:RIGS) added 24.53% or 78 points to end at 396 and Wismilak Inti Makmur Tbk (JK:WIIM) was up 24.49% or 72 points to 366 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Onix Capital Tbk (JK:OCAP), which fell 34.12% or 58 points to trade at 112 at the close. Marga Abhinaya Abadi Tbk PT (JK:MABA) declined 24.73% or 23 points to end at 70 and Arthavest Tbk (JK:ARTA) was down 15.72% or 180 points to 965.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 259 to 175 and 120 ended unchanged.

Shares in Smartfren Telecom Tbk (JK:FREN) rose to 5-year highs; rising 33.33% or 47 to 188. Shares in Onix Capital Tbk (JK:OCAP) fell to all time lows; falling 34.12% or 58 to 112. Shares in Marga Abhinaya Abadi Tbk PT (JK:MABA) fell to all time lows; falling 24.73% or 23 to 70. Shares in Wismilak Inti Makmur Tbk (JK:WIIM) rose to 52-week highs; rising 24.49% or 72 to 366.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.42% or 0.76 to $52.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.37% or 0.85 to hit $61.13 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 1.25 to trade at $1317.95 a troy ounce.

USD/IDR was down 0.20% to 13922.0, while AUD/IDR fell 1.59% to 9931.26.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 95.903.
